Indeed. It's a fantastic design, and one of the best of Trek and seeing the way it could connect in to DSC is a lot of fun to me.Yeah, I'm with you on loving the strange little oddities that we saw on the Kelvin. Honestly, I'm fine with the "JJprise" and all that came with it, but I LOVE the Kelvin. The ship, bridge, uniforms, shuttles, all great! You can see how alot of it built off what we saw in Enterprise, and how it could evolve into what we saw in TOS or even SNW.
It certainly can show up, but I'd expect it to look different, as every single thing in SNW does.
Same layout, but made of Disco/SNW ship parts and probably somewhat smaller.
his ship looks too advanced for the time it's set in.
I disagree completely. To me they look like an in between of TOS and TMP...
It's not a debate, it's personal opinions and tastes.
Indeed. The language and rhetoric tends to take on a rather final appearance in text.I agree with this. But the problem is some fans like see that his/her opinion represent the whole community taste. That's why we see the word "failure" in their opinion regarding of some Star Trek plots, designs, etc.
Which I still believe was a script error/mistake/oversight and that design was not actually intended to be a D7, because they had names for all the Klingon ships behind the scenes, and that one was not called a D7.Also, you can't ignore what they did to the Klingon D7 in S1...
I’m not sure how my theory precludes that. The refit still looks more advanced than the discovery ships. But I feel that works against one of the big points of TMP -- the Enterprise was refit to be the newest, baddest ship in the fleet. New designs, new warp technology, new phasers, etc... If there was a steady evolution of warp nacelle design between TOS and TMP, it's most likely they wouldn't have had the issues they encountered in TMP.
So which bigger, the Enterprise F or Enterprise D or Enterprise E?
