Would anyone be interested in inverting the original TOS formula: a mostly Vulcan crew with one or two humans?

The general reason why the all-Klingon Captain Worf series was the investment in makeup. The time and cost to do Vulcan looks is much less.Would anyone be interested in inverting the original TOS formula: a mostly Vulcan crew with one or two humans?
That certainly won't happen. There's a much better chance of an alien captain than a mostly alien crew.

I want the captain to be played by John Hamm. He should smoke and drink scotch on the bridge. He'll hit on all the female yeoman and the ones who rebuff him mysteriously disappear. He might be a serial killer. Whenever an alien appears on screen, he'll be drunk and say, "WTF is that?" It will be his catchphrase. His best friend will be an old country doctor who is a die hard creationist and does not believe in space travel. All of his patients die due to his scientific incompetence. Both are totally racist towards the dispassionate alien officer who is all that keeps the ship running.
Yeah, I'd be down for something like that.I wouldn't mind a captain something like "O'Neill" as played by Richard Dean Anderson on the Stargate shows - kind of pragmatic and a little overrun by the eccentric specialists he has to manage. Sort of a blue-collar guy. Make the back-and-forth with the scientists funny.
People under his command ought to compete and challenge him to try to get what they want out of situations. This business of The Leader being a paragon of judgment and probity that everyone looks respectfully up to at all times - Picard, in other words - is dull as dishwater.
Ah, I remember the Bickleys from DC's ST:TNG comic.
I'm just concerned that they'll endanger the set-up for the sitcom spinoff by taking screen time from the Rikers.
Also, I'm sort of actually buying the casting on the first three characters.

Dammit that's all I can think of now. That's so good. Never happen of course, but so, so good
Awesome. This is golden. I assume the bridge will constantly have a fog of smoke hanging over everything?
Two words: Captain Xena.
