STAR TREK, for better or worse, is a format centered around the decisions that the captain must make, whether it's Kirk, Picard, Sisko, Janeway or Archer. The captain drives the action and is the center of the show.

Jamie Bamber as the Captain.
Tricia Helfer as the First Officer......And she's a Cylon.
More specifically, a next generation synthetic Human superior to Data or any Cylon.
