I hope at least 1/3 of the book focuses on life after the Dominion occupation. We haven't heard a lot about what went on during that time, just bits and pieces here and there.
Ah, I always forget that there are 2 S&S sites now.I just checked and if was up it's not anymore,

::have NOT read the thread::
Just want to let you guys know that I am staying away from TNES discussion from this point forward, until the book comes out. I want the experience of this book to be special. Pristine and totally unspoiled.![]()
Not bad, but next time try ending it with a creepy Garak smile.I heartily apologise if this has been answered elsewhere,but is this book totally Cardassian-centric or do the DS9 characters appear in it?
A lot of very familiar faces appear... (suitably enigmatic?)
I was just surprised about Rugal's age. He was sixteen? Somehow my brain made me think he was twelve or something. Then again Chief O'Brien can't even get the age of his own daughter right, so why should I remember everything...
a straight-faced twelve-year-old Cardassian boy, RUGAL.
Well, I remember that it was said that he was four at the time of the bombing. I just checked with Memory Alpha and they confirm it.
Born 2358, "orphaned" 2362, taken to Cardassia 2370 - which would make him 12 at that time, not 16.

As that made me curious I just checked the script. Even when he is introduced there he is described as
a straight-faced twelve-year-old Cardassian boy, RUGAL.
It is also mentioned that the adoption was about 8 years ago and as I remembered it is stated that he had just turned 4 when Pa'dar left Bajor, believing Rugal to be dead.
Maybe that's 16 years in Cardassian, or Bajoran?![]()
