Oh, I was pretty close to saving "Basics, Part II" also. It's trashy but I loooooooooooooooove it. It's so overstuffed and insane.

Though I am still pissed at how Hogan is violently killed almost as a punchline, and it's 100% Neelix's fault! Neelix fully murders that guy with his incompetent management, and Hogan knows it's coming too. So mean! That's all I can think of with this teaser: imagine knowing you were going to die on the job, because you'd been put on the team where you had to report to Neelix. Grim!

Anyway, for my next save... I know conventional wisdom doesn't love it, but conventional wisdom is wrong! "Carpenter Street" is a delightful trip. More fun traveling-to-contemporary-Earth. I appreciate the choice of a non-CA-based location for the trip back, and they do a decent enough job faking Detroit in LA, at least until they totally blow it in that final shot where they're surrounded by CA hills.

I will get my second family episode out of the way. "Real Life" has the Doctor creating a holographic family of unbelievable sweetness until B'Elanna takes a hand. It's a good portrayal of reality. One thing I did like was the "son" hanging out with Klingons. Too often in ST all the "people" are human and friends with humans.

Oh, I was pretty close to saving "Basics, Part II" also. It's trashy but I loooooooooooooooove it. It's so overstuffed and insane.

Though I am still pissed at how Hogan is violently killed almost as a punchline, and it's 100% Neelix's fault! Neelix fully murders that guy with his incompetent management, and Hogan knows it's coming too. So mean! That's all I can think of with this teaser: imagine knowing you were going to die on the job, because you'd been put on the team where you had to report to Neelix. Grim!

Anyway, for my next save... I know conventional wisdom doesn't love it, but conventional wisdom is wrong! "Carpenter Street" is a delightful trip. More fun traveling-to-contemporary-Earth. I appreciate the choice of a non-CA-based location for the trip back, and they do a decent enough job faking Detroit in LA, at least until they totally blow it in that final shot where they're surrounded by CA hills.

~ I know we didn't see much of him, but I thought Hogan was a great character so I'm still annoyed by his useless death, too. I watched VOY: "Distant Origin" not too long ago and found myself sad and annoyed when the Voth discover his bones.

"Carpenter Street" was going to be my next save, so I'm glad it's already been removed so I can save something else: VOY: "Unity". Another ep I watched recently and I still find it chilling. I wonder how long the Borg Cooperative really was cooperative?

I didn't like "Extinction" but that other reason gets a 'love' from me

Even though it's one of the last Lower Decks episodes left, "Trusted Sources" is still a great 20odd minutes. Visiting Ornara and Brekka as part of 'Project Swing By' and discovering the Breen was a bit of a shock. But Mariner being kicked off the ship to Starbase 80 was an even bigger shock! And Jennifer showing her true 'Mean Girl' colours was horrible, but I'm glad it happened because Mariner can do much better than her.
