The most disliked episode of Voyager - Part Five

Okay Trek fans, "least disliked" has concluded, and now it's time for the opposite. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your favorite or the one you deem the 'best.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you play again. Pretty simple. Enjoy! :bolian:

Timeless gets the save from me. It's a wonderful high-concept time travel episode with amazing effects, a great episode for Kim, lots of other great moments, a Galaxy-class ship captained by La Forge and is just entertaining from beginning to end.

I'll save Extreme Risk, which is the genesis of the Delta Flyer. Even though it featured the Malon, they weren't really the point of the episode; that goes to B'Elanna and the Flyer.

Latent Image - the only thing that's wrong with this episode is that the events are never mentioned again, but in itself it's a great story, a really interesting dilemma and great character piece of EMH.

I'm saving Equinox (I), for I think Equinox is a fantastic two-parter that provides us with a great what-if scenario without resorting to alternate timelines or universes.

Dark Frontier (I) - Epic Borg action, fleshing out the backstory of Seven and her family, and the return of the Borg Queen. Great stuff.

Counterpoint is one of the most stylishly directed VOY episodes, and watching Mulgrew and Harelik play off each other is a lot of fun.

Course: Oblivion. An interesting episode, quite different, excellent visuals with the incredible melting cast (appropriately described in Season 1 as a melting pot with how fast they melded) except for the wardrobe choice for Seven. Maroon in melting green-tinted goo with that blonde hair don't jive; shoulda gone with the two-tone cobalt blue outfit. C:O formed a nice contrast with our Voyager in Season 5.

"Night" is my next save. Although I don't care for mopey Janeway at the beginning, the rest of this episode is a great action-adventure story with unique aliens and a unique setting.

Ugh @ Relativity being saved first, what a disgustingly overrated pile of trash

Saving "Once Upon a Time". I loved when Voyager did stories like this, its a pretty basic concept but they make it work beautifully. Ethan Phillip's acting is sublime as usual.

Saving "Thirty Days". I really like episodes that focus on Paris, but not Torres, and they are few and far between.

Gravity
Bliss
Dark Frontier (II)
The Disease
The Fight

I know many others find it slow and/or "not Star Trek" (whatever that means), but I've always liked 11:59 for doing something different and refreshing.

I'm saving Bride of Chaotica! -Who can resist Janeway as the Queen Arachnia. A refreshing change to the 'ordinary episodes'.

Yeah, it's the Juggernaut, bitch! Predating the internet meme, this episode does a decent job living up to the name (still 2nd to the Gem of Cyttorak holder though) and definately didn't deserve having the lowest ever premiere rating for a Trek ep til mid-late ENT Season 4 (thanks to UPN's surprise scheduling and lack of promotion). Focuses on a group of people often overlooked- doomed people working in toxic environments. Core Laborers parallel the original Chernobyl response team and the Gulf oil spill clean-up people on the short term, and Ground Zero rescue/clean-up people & the Fukushima Daiichi response team on the longer term.

I will go out on my limb and save In the Flesh, because despite its lackluster depiction of the Species 8472, it gives us a glimpse of home. Plus, I appreciate the difficultly that it must have taken script-wise to end the episode without an effects-driven giant firefight.
