The most disliked episode of TNG - Part Four

BlueStuff

Rear Admiral

Okay Trek fans, "least disliked" has concluded, so now it's time for the opposite. The basic idea here is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your favorite or the one you deem the 'best.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you play again. Pretty simple. Enjoy! :bolian:

I'm nixing "Family," which provided some actual consequences and gave Patrick Stewart some time to really act.

Family zzzzzzzzzzzzz? Really? I was hoping it would be at least in the bottom 4 or 5. Oh well that's the diversity of Trek for you.

I'm removing Brothers, I enjoyed Brent Spiner's performance playing 3 characters.

I'll save The Drumhead, probably the best Trek courtroom drama, led by a brilliant turn from Jean Simmons.

I'm saving The Best of Both Worlds (Part Two). Just because of the action and the way Patrick Stewart performed.

The Wounded, introduction of Cardassians, great character case for O'Brien, and great story with some moral ambiguity with a sympathetic rogue captain.

Reunion - One of TNG's best. K'Ehleyr's death, Worf's killing of Duras, the introduction of Gowron and Alexander, wonderful acting and a great continuation of the Klingon Arc.

The Mind's Eye. A great little Manchurian Candidate conspiracy thriller and a rare clever use of LaForge's Visor to boot.

Devil's Due
- One of my favorite TNG episodes, actually. It's a fun story with a good antagonist and some amusing moments.

Clues - a wonderful mystery, great atmosphere, and some pretty good acting from Brent Spiner.

The Nth Degree - decent plot and pretty good acting by the guy who plays Reg Barclay.

Remember Me. Dr Crusher finally gets a good story. Nice Sci Fi episode too.

Also took off The Mind's Eye since Pseudo seems to have fogotten to delete from list in his last post.

Suddenly Human
Legacy
Future Imperfect
Final Mission
The Loss
Data's Day
First Contact
Galaxy's Child
Identity Crisis
Qpid
Half a Life

Night Terrors is suitably unsettling, with some great scenes.

Future Imperfect
Final Mission
The Loss
First Contact
Galaxy's Child
Identity Crisis
Qpid
Half a Life
The Host
In Theory
Redemption (Part One)

Data's Day - a fun little episode and it was good to see Data doing his daily duties.

Suddenly Human
Legacy
Future Imperfect
Final Mission
The Loss
Galaxy's Child
Identity Crisis
Qpid
Half a Life
The Host
In Theory
Redemption (Part One)

First Contact: I like the idea of a 20th 21st century earth analogue without it being a stupid exact copy ala TOS.

Suddenly Human
Legacy
Future Imperfect
Final Mission
The Loss
Galaxy's Child
Identity Crisis
Qpid
Half a Life
The Host
In Theory

Time to swoop in and save Redemption (I) before it falls any lower. An engrossing calm before the storm episode, and one of the better Klingon stories.

Suddenly Human
Legacy
Final Mission
The Loss
Galaxy's Child
Identity Crisis
Qpid
Half a Life
The Host
In Theory

Future Imperfect may not be perfect, but it's a great little tale that kept me guessing. And anything that gives Andreas Katsulas' Tomalak a decent role in the series is a good thing.

Suddenly Human
Legacy
Final Mission
The Loss
Galaxy's Child
Qpid
Half a Life
The Host
In Theory

Identity Crisis- pretty good mystery, even if some of the biology behind it was a bit wonky.

Suddenly Human
Legacy
Final Mission
The Loss
Galaxy's Child
Qpid
Half a Life
The Host

In Theory - it has some good comedy, the chilling scene of the lieutenant embedded in the floor and the unsettling end scene where Data says he'll remove the appropriate programming.

Suddenly Human
Legacy
Final Mission
The Loss
Galaxy's Child
Half a Life
The Host

Jumping in to save Qpid, it's a fun if silly episode and worth saving if only because it contains the funniest line in Star Trek.
