My first vote is "The Perfect Mate". I thought the chemistry between Famke and Sir Patrick was excellent.

Boy, do these stink!

I find "We'll Always Have Paris", a little less repellent than the rest of them.

The Perfect Mate may not be great Trek, but it doesn't belong with the bottom of the barrel dreck mostly featured here. And not just because Worf gets growled at.

Give what you consider to be the best/your most favorite episode ONE point,

Wouldn't it be more like "the least awful episode" by this point? :nyah:

I'm going to go with "The Perfect Mate". The reactionary growl "my Worf" gives to Kamala is priceless but that's not the only reason I'm saving this one. Picard actually makes a defining impression on this young woman. Considering he is (IMHO) one of the best diplomats Starfleet has, who better for the future mate of a world leader to be like? He hasn't any children of his own so Kamala sort of fulfills the role of a daughter learning from her father (though yes, there was a sexual tension between the future Professor X & Jean Grey -- which is also a bit weird to think about).

Well if you think about it, Famke Janssen plays essentially the same role in both instances; a telepathic woman without any agency who just only exist to be the girlfriend of male characters. Only in Star Trek that's in-universe, while in X-men it describes how they miss-used Jean Grey's character.

How is Identity Crisis even in this? Such a fascinating mystery episode.

I like "We'll Always Have Paris" much more than most of these others. Is it good? No...but I do find the early insight into Picard's character fascinating, and Phillips gives a nice guest performance. The time shenanigans are also cool enough.

Saving "Up the" as, for all its faults and 2D stereotyping, or Riker's lame Kirking around, the subplot with cloning and genetics and the reunification of the same species was poignant, as well as being pretty hard sci-fi fare - something that got rarer in the series as it continued. It's the second-least worst in the list, IMHO.

The Perfect Mate is saved. There are some good scenes between Picard and Kamala in this, which make it stand out over the Ferengi nonsense.

Tricky. A lot of these are on the same level for me. I guess "Identity Crisis", it has a moment or two of the spookiness I really enjoy from TNG.

I'm going to go right back after "We'll Always Have Paris." It's not great, but it's a step above most of what is on this list at this time, and at least it was a fun sci-fi concept with a good guest star and a B-plot that gave some insight into Picard.

Identity Crisis is worth saving just for the spook factor, and the holodeck scene.

I always liked The Icarus Factor. It was interesting seeing Will's relationship with his Dad and even seeing how Pulaski used to be Kyle's partner.

The subplot with the crew's concern over Worf feeling off was nice as well. Everyone loves a painstick to make you feel better. :klingon:

This is a candid picture of @Vger23 trying to deal with this thread and these awful episodes (I mean seriously....The Price??? Aquiel??? Code of Honor???)

Hmmmm??? "Journey's End" or "Aquiel"? Decisions! Decisions!

Oh, sorry, just kidding :guffaw:

Saving "Identity Crisis" this time around. Though Geordi was ultimately saved I wasn't sure if it would happen since the show already killed off a major character once before...would they do it again. So it added to the suspense.

Saving "Identity Crisis" because of the holodeck use and creepy vibe.

And my vote for this round is "We'll Always Have Paris". Cool concept, and a nice look at Picard's past.
