Now that 'The Outrageous Okona' won, I'd like to ask a question I've seen asked here before:

How outrageous was Okona?

Not very outrageous at all really. He's just one hell of a ladies' man, and has an anti-authority streak... which really just makes him an exaggerated version of Riker.

In that case we know why this episode won this contest.
Because Okona's actor didn't get Riker's role, he gave such a lousy performance in this episode that it went down the drain.

I love Frakes, but I think Campbell could have been a fantastic Riker also. It's too bad they couldn't come up with something -- anything! -- better for him to do in this guest spot, no one was getting out of this script alive.

Okona was meant as Han Solo, really he was more like the 'wacky cousin' character on a sitcom.
