The most disliked episode of Star Trek - Part Two

NOTE: I have been advised by a fellow poster about the possibility of starting the game up in the other series forums at the same time, rather than doing it one at a time. I'd be happy to do that, but my reasoning is that these games tend to finish rather quickly, for example, a good number of regular players missed "Part One", and that would be happening x4 if the other series games were also running. This way, people would only miss out on one game, rather than a potential 4! However I will be willing to change this if there's call for it.

Okay Trek fans, "least disliked" has concluded, so now it's time for the opposite. The basic idea here is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your favorite or the one you deem the 'best.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you play again. Pretty simple. Enjoy!

"The Measure of a Man" isn't perfect, but it's pretty darn good, and the first great episode of the series. An easy first choice.

The Emissary. K'Ehleyr is one of my favorite TNG characters, and her relationship with Worf one of the better romances in Trek. And this may be the only time in all of Trek that Klingon mating rituals didn't look ridiculous.

I'll go for Time Squared. TNG's first time travel story is a strong outing. The ending is a bit strange but otherwise it's a solid episode.

Oh and I'd prefer if we just do one at a time too. I work stupid hours that vary day to day so I'm likely to miss out on a round every now and then anyway, but I'm more likely to miss out on more if they happen in one go.

Saving Contagion - one of my underrated favourites of the series. It's got a great mix of action, comedy, a tense atmosphere, and pure sci-fi concepts. One of the first examples of everything coming together in a TNG episode.

I'll save another underrated favourite - Pen Pals. The scene where the senior staff debates the Prime Directive is great. I really like how Pulaski comes to Data's defence - she grew more as a character in one season than many of the others did over seven. Picard's growing exasperation with the whole situation is also fun.

The Dauphin - silly and cheesy as hell, but The Outrageous Okona is even more so, Shades of Gray is a pointless clip show, and Up the Long Ladder is horrible, illogical and offensive on so many levels.
