~ Yeah, same thoughts here. There was just too much of a gap between fun, peacemaking Fletcher in the bar and the complete barmcake Fletcher who stuck his head in some technobabble.

Anyway, "Mugato Gumato" is consistantly fun, gross, suspenseful, adorable, and has Boimler and Rutherford saving the day with the power of (Diplo)math!

Plus it has Denobulan cheek puffing!

I'll swim against the tide and give my last point to "Terminal Provocations." The Fletcher material is possibly the worst in the series, but the other plot threads -- especially Badgey -- are fantastic.

Whereas I find "Mugato, Gumato" just kind of a wan effort throughout. I don't buy at all the central story that Boimler and Rutherford think Mariner might be this evil operative or whatever.

And they thought that joke about Mugato pronunciation had a lot more legs than it actually did.

I really like both remaining episodes... but I must begrudgingly give my final vote to "Mugato, Gumato".

I just like it slightly more than "Terminal Provocations".

Which means that "Terminal Provocations" wins LOWER DECKS for 2025.
