The Most Disliked Episode of DS9, Season 2 - 2025 Edition...

Saving "RULES OF ACQUISITION".

The Dominion gets a first mention here. Inspired decision to make such a huge part of the series get a tiny piece of a Ferengi episode

And I truthfully use a number of Rules of Acquisition on real life. A very surprisingly high number of them are QUITE relevant and useful.

"MELORA"
"SECOND SIGHT"
"RIVALS"
"THE ALTERNATE"
"PLAYING GOD"
"PROFIT AND LOSS"

I want to give all three of these A for effort. They're all good ideas that are trying, and then just go awry in execution.

I'll save "Melora", because I like the zero G effects, and they did a nice job with the interplay of A & B story. I'm glad they made this attempt to tackle the issue, even if they didn't do it all that well.

I really wish they'd avoided all those times Bashir seduced his patients, though. But I can kind of squint and see it as setup for the genetic engineering reveal. As we saw with the Jack Pack, the genetic engineering can give you poor sexual boundaries! :)

"SECOND SIGHT"
"THE ALTERNATE"

Awww... I kind of liked "Second Sight". Seytik was am obnoxious character, but the fact that that he was completely unapologetic about it, for some strange reason, helped.

Well, that's what I get for going to bed early.

Rooting for Melora to be the choice, I do not like spending 45 minutes with that character.
I could have dealt with the prickly character, but the whole cultural identity business left me rolling my eyes. But an episode only needs one fan. I've saved "Shades of Gray" a time or two.

~ Had I not been fast asleep too, I would have saved "Second Sight" (right after "Profit and Loss" was saved).
