While I am not a big fan of the episode, "A SIMPLE INVESTIGATION" suffers mostly due to its placement in season 5. It would have worked far better had it been produced and aired while Odo was a solid.

Plus, any episode that centers on Odo's investigative skills is always a plus.

My vote this round goes to "THE MUSE". The creativity vampire story lacked badly, but the Lwaxana/Odo story was really sweet, and they had great chemistry together.

I'd go as far as to say that it doesn't make sense unless Odo is a solid; I suppose we have to believe that his experiences as a solid had a lasting impact on him. I wonder if the script was held over for some reason?
