The Most Disliked Episode of DS9, 2023 Edition - Season 2...

While not perfect,

"MELORA"

is an early example of a show telling the audience that inclusion also means recognizing and respecting people who have physical or other infirmities. It gets my respect for that, even if it's a misfire at times... and Bashir really thinks that datin' clients is a good idea? If it were that easy, then I'd scope around town to find the kinkiest shrink... but I digress.

What's left:
"RULES OF ACQUISITION"
"SECOND SIGHT"
"SANCTUARY"
"RIVALS"
"THE ALTERNATE"
"PLAYING GOD"
"PROFIT AND LOSS"
"THE COLLABORATOR"

The Collaborator throws a big spanner in the works with Bareil and his aim to be the next Kai. I love Bajoran episodes anyway, and Louside Fletcher was perfect (and sadly missed) in her role as a giant pain in the ass!

RULES OF ACQUISITION"
"SECOND SIGHT"
"SANCTUARY"
"RIVALS"
"THE ALTERNATE"
"PLAYING GOD"
"PROFIT AND LOSS"

"Profit And Loss", for the third appearance of Garak.

Also, the ROTW works because they were smart enough to have it be a 2nd-chance-at-love with a previous partner. That is a trope Trek should have gone to more. It was always so impossible to make a romance have stakes within the episodic timeframe, so you're really helped if you can just say there was all this backstory to justify the heightened feelings.

RULES OF ACQUISITION"
"SECOND SIGHT"
"SANCTUARY"
"RIVALS"
"THE ALTERNATE"
"PLAYING GOD"

We have a winner with "SECOND SIGHT".

This was also last year's season 2 winner. ("SANCTUARY" also won the 2011 season 2 game.) I hate to admit that a Sisko episode is boring, but this one truly is. I did love the new views of the Nebula class ship, though.

This was a fun game. I will post season 3 later today. Hope to see everyone there.

Thank you all for playing.

I think I might rewatch "Second Sight", see if it justifies so many booby prizes.

EDIT: Just did. It's actually pretty good. Seyatik, the egomaniacal terraformer, is a standout.

He's fun to watch for 45 minutes on TV, but if he invited me to dinner I would suddenly discover a previous engagement.
Blecchhh. Can't blame you for that. But we only have to stomach him for 45 minutes. Or more like 15, since a lot of the episode is about Ben getting hot for Fenna. And he's amusing for that long, in an appalling "I'm a complete :censored:-hole and I know it and that's why I get away with it" sort of way.
