Game The Most Disliked Bajoran Episode

Winn used the chroniton solution because she didn't have enough faith in the Prophets to kill the pah-wraith, basically.

She also hated and was jealous of Sisko as Emissary, particularly in this instance because he was ready to risk his own son's life based on the Prophets. (Sisko doing this is just wrong on so many levels.)

She didn't care about Jake or Kira. Her own desires were paramount.

I think that it was meant to draw a parallel between Abraham and Isaac, a story that holds great meaning in the Judeo-Christian tradition.

Given that the Prophets (being timeless) were already aware of the ending of the episode, maybe Winn was the ram in the thicket.

I know the story is a parallel to the episode. It doesn't make it any less unforgiving for damaging his character.

And I'm sorry, but having a story about a father ready to let his own child die or kill his own child just to prove his faith to some deity? That's a terrible lesson to teach, and just underscores why so many religions are dangerous and why I am so against religions in general. It also illustrates that he is a terrible father, and his deity is a dick, plain and simple.

Since this is not a topic for discussing matters of faith, I think we'll have to agree to disagree on that one. But I also think we're agreed that "The Reckoning" was worthy of the dubious honor it has received.

"The Reckoning" is one of those that's so badly written, I can't even really incorporate the character's actions into the larger arc. It's a bit like "Let He Who Is Without Sin..." or "Booby Trap", the story told is so badly plotted and damaging that I just have to ignore what it does to the characters to be able to continue to tolerate them going forward.

New list, so no prior winner.

Lower Decks is about to return, so next up is "The Most Disliked Trek Animation." Hope to see you all there!
