Game The Most Disliked 2-Hour/2-Part Episode

Gonna save DIS - “Such Sweet Sorrow”.

I haven’t rewatched it since it originally aired yet, so my opinion could change, but I have to say I throughly enjoyed the second season, and found this an exciting and satisfying finale —and indeed soft reboot! I fell in love with Anson Mount’s Pike (heck, I think fell in love with Anson Mount full stop) and Ethan Peck was a worthy successor to Leonard Nimoy (and IMO improvement to Zachary Quinto) as Spock. Oh, and I loved Number One too. By this point I’d also genuinely connected/bonded with most the DIS cast. I’m nevertheless glad the show has jumped ahead and disentangled itself from prequel territory, and it does so satisfactorily if a little clunkily. With a clean slate, I genuinely can’t wait for the next series.

TNG, Season 7: “Gambit"
VOY, Season 6 & 7: “Unimatrix Zero”
ENT, Season 1 & 2: “Shockwave”
ENT, Season 4: “Storm Front”
ENT, Season 4: “Demons/Terra Prime”

In before it's too late: Got to save “Demons” and “Terra Prime” as I'm kind of stumped to see it's still in there. As any serious Enterprise fan will tell you, it's the true series finale of that series. Come to think of it, it was pretty prescient with the depiction of the rise of xenophobia in society. If millionaire John Frederick Paxton would have been running for president it would have been downright prophetic. ;)

I liked what it did for the characters of Trip and T'Pol, even if the story ends pretty tragic for them. Kind of hinting at the building blocks of what would become the Federation was also cool. Plus, that they scored Peter Weller for this was awesome. :bolian:

What's left:

TNG, Season 7: “Gambit"
VOY, Season 6 & 7: “Unimatrix Zero”
ENT, Season 1 & 2: “Shockwave”
ENT, Season 4: “Storm Front”

I will save "Gambit", for at least having some fun with space pirates. The guest cast is quite strong, and there is always something hilarious about the cliffhanger being technically the same as BOBW -- an order to fire -- only with all suspense elements carefully removed, because we already know Data has gotten on the same page as Picard and thus there is no danger here.

VOY, Season 6 & 7: “Unimatrix Zero”
ENT, Season 1 & 2: “Shockwave”
ENT, Season 4: “Storm Front"

The dregs... that's what is left. I don't like these much at all for various reasons.

One just outright jumped the Borg... I mean, shark. Two of the others deal with that damned Temporal Cold War, with one of them having alien Nazis. A better unholy trinity of two-parters you will not find...

I will reluctantly save "STORM FRONT", for only one reason. It ended that damned Temporal Cold War.

Good luck to whoever is making their next selection.

VOY, Season 6 & 7: “Unimatrix Zero”
ENT, Season 1 & 2: “Shockwave”

Oh dear what a mess. :D

I'll save Unamatrix Zero despite being pretty brainless for long periods of time, at least it certainly looked interesting whilst everything was happening. The idea of a Borg resistance was the most interesting part of the episode, and think it's a shame they didn't reappear in VOY's final season, or even in Endgame.

ENT, Season 1 & 2: “Shockwave”
ENT, Season 4: “Storm Front"

Heh, photo finish! As @Farscape One saved "Storm Front" at the same time as @Seven of Five saved "Unimatrix Zero", that makes "Shockwave" our winner! Our first double-winner, since "Shockwave, Part II" also won "Most Disliked Visit To Earth's 'Present'" It does deserve it, "Shockwave" is a whole lot of nothing... there's no interesting core idea here, it's just the creaky plot mechanics of the TCW grinding their gears.

NEXT UP: "The Most Disliked Romulan Episode" Thanks to all who played, and hope to see you all on the next one!

I was expecting Storm Front to win. I don't think anyone likes that episode. Although maybe Shockwave deserves it more. I can't say as I remember basically nothing about it. Storm Front may have been stupid but at least it was memorable.

Shockwave part 1 was fine - better than average for Season 1.

Part 2 on the other hand...
