The Master to return?

Well Simm's Master did mention the two of them playing in the fields of his fathers estate when they were children. So they can't be THAT far apart age-wise.

All this mention of the Master and the other Time Lord villians and no mention of the Rani. If I'm not mistaken she was also one of the Doctor's classmates and with her knowledge of biology she could change herself to "hide" that she is a Time Lord.

But before he got found out, the master knocked up Amy and she has to spend a "season" carrying his half Timelord baby.

Gods.

I loved how polite he was back in the 70s.

In intriguing idea.

I'd rather they not replace Simm. With as seldom as the Master appears anymore I think it would be counter-productive to replace him everytime a Doctor regenerates. Just like it takes awhile for a Doctor to hit his stride it takes a Master awhile to do that, too. I wasn't overly impressed with Simm in his first run but I loved him in his "End of Time" appearance. I'd like to see him continue to grow instead of suddenly meeting a new one, and then another new one, and so on.

But would he come back for a 3rd time? Read just before his first appearance as The Master that he wasn't really interested in Doctor Who, did the role because his kids where and that it was going to be one shot deal (just don't know where I read it).

Hmm, Laurie as the Doctor (I'm assuming this is a reference to 'Fatal Death', which I've only seen once in passing).

After watching him in House, he could certainly bring a lot of light and dark to the role. Hmm, I'll have to think about it.

Hugh Laurie as the Doctor: the universe starts dying and the doctor and his companions keep trying ways to save it and just as it is about to die they find the real cause as to what is causing all of reality to collapse.....
