good thing the Ford government has a majority and just under 4 years left to run on the current parliament because they're on the nose with electorate. Won in June with 40% of the vote but if the election was today they'd pick up 34% so would probably be in minority.
Liberals are bouncing back sitting at 32% which shows how much of a factor wynne's person disapproval rating was. The NDP is sitting in 3rd place.

Infact the NDP had better watch out. The Ontario govt increase the minimum number of seats required for official party status to 12 and the NDP backed the move (forgetting how they benefited from being granted offical statue after being all but wiped out in 2003) so come the next election, it could be the NDP that has a problem with official party status.

I've made coffee-flavoured cupcakes, cookies and other desserts, so doughnuts doesn't seem like too much of a stretch. I'd try them.
I'm a Starbucks drinker, so I think I'll pass. The tiramisu donut sounds amazing, though. I might get one of those and then pop into Starbucks to get my coffee.
I've seen the Tiramisu donuts over here, but not the new Timbits. In fact, I don't even think they've been advertised here.
I have a question: why do people seem to like Starbucks more than Tim Horton’s? Is it a coffee thing? I like some of their desserts (red velvet whoopie pies) once in a while but I just find Starbucks too expensive.
I like Tim Hortons a LOT better than Starbucks. The food AND the coffee.
I think it must be a regional thing. We have many more Tim Hortons in town compared to Starbuck which has only two locations (aside from the short time we had the third one at the Target), and one of them is in a university, so it's much less convenient for those in town and out of the way for many unless they're at the shopping mall. I agree, they're too expensive.
let me guess - one of those starbucks locations is in a Chapters store?
Which is the only one we've got here but a property has been bought for a new starbucks to be built and it's had council approval but no idea when we'll see shovels in the ground.
Don't think tim hortons will be worried anytime soon though.

Yep, exactly. So, inside a Chapters and inside a University. Not exactly high-profile around here. Ironically, the one at Chapters will be closed for renovations for several months. It hasn't had a single reno done to it in 18 years since it opened.
For me, it's mostly the coffee - I like my coffee strong. Don't get me wrong - if all that's around is a Tim Horton's and I need coffee, I won't turn my nose up at it. I just prefer Starbucks' coffee (I even buy it to make at home).
I mean, I’ve had Starbucks smoothies and stuff but I love Timbits, the yearly strawberry treats, the cookies, and breakfast sandwiches.

TBH, they were not as good as I was hoping. They are good, don't get me wrong, but I was hoping the coffee flavouring would be stronger, so I was a little disappointed.
I don't know that people in general prefer Starbucks? I know people who do prefer Starbucks, but I also know people who prefer Tim Hortons. Both companies have their ardent supporters.
I'm more of a Timmie's person myself, and prefer their coffee (dark roast!) over Starbucks. And I agree, Starbucks is way too expensive. But I will admit that Starbucks does have some specialty drinks which I adore, but I try to limit myself to only a handful of those every year. Neither my wallet nor my waistline can afford otherwise...

I live in southwestern Ontario, in a city with a population around 380K. I did some checking online, and assuming these numbers can be trusted, we have 22 Starbucks locations here... compared to 69 Tim Hortons.
That seems like a fair count. Although I'm surprised you even have 22 as that seems a bit high. At one point, I did a bit of research on the number of Tim Hortons in my area and we seemed to have even more of them than Ottawa did, which is wild. We have what feels like one on every major street corner and that's not exaggerating.
