Spoilers The Mandalorian Season 3

Those Imperial Remnant Supercommandos may be my second favorite trooper design of the Disney Era after the Shoretroopers.

Some Concept art observations
The Tie Interceptors in the concept art have a different paint scheme than the final episode. They're black and white like the super commandoes themselves.

The TIE Bombers in the art are actually TIE Boarding Craft. You can tell from the design of the second pod with the clamps and such. But I think they are meant to represent bombers, because it looks like they're loading bombs.

The TIE Interceptor Cockpit seems to be inspired by Star Wars Squadrons.

I liked and enjoyed it. I guess it was just a bit too straightforward perhaps. No twists, no revelations, no surprises really, no shocks. I wasn’t expecting another Luke Skywalker or whoever cameo, and really gotta try not to compare it to the s2 finale. But yeah.. just a little bit *too* simple and neat for me. I would have liked just a little more edge maybe.

I feel the same.

  • good finale and cap to season 3
  • lliked the overall retake Mandalore-arc, but the pacing of the stories could have been more balanced.
  • I'm ignoring the Mandoalorian jetpacks with fuel to orbit vs can't keep up with the dragon... visuals :adore::cool:
  • Tie Fighters hanging as bats in the cave and swarming out = very cool
  • Mando's red force field trooper takedown run was really epic
  • I hate the red trooopers.
  • wish the Mythosaurus whould have showed up to "baptise" Grogu
  • So happy Mando/Grogu are freelancing for Carson Teva!
  • Cute to see Mando/Grogu's western style homestead at the end, hope it goes back to season 1 and 2 style bounty stories for at least a bit.

  • Wait, so does this now mean that Clan Din are now both . . . Rangers of the New Republic? *plays theme tune*

Yes please!

That was a great way to top off a great season. The Mandalorians got their home back, Moff Gideon got a ticket to the family barbecue, and now Clan Din are freelance bounty hunters.

So many satisfying resolutions to what has been a great season and a great series. Here's hoping for more, but even if we don't get them, this was a terrific finale all around.

Athough there were some good action sequences, I found the finale to be a little too neatly packaged and rather underwhelming . . . like this entire season. And I get the feeling that future seasons will only feature single narrative episodes or the occasional two-parter. I guess this also opens up Thrawn becoming the major Big Bad for the Star Wars saga during this period. I find that unfortunate. I've never liked Thrawn. Like Cad Bane, I found him too smug, not at all entertaining and a bore.

Also . . . Grogu needs more training on how to deal with his Force abilities. I've always felt the same about Luke and Rey. And . . . who were the spies, other than Elia Kane?

I'm still not 100% on what was going on with The Client. He seemed a little too willing to have Grogu killed rather than captured. Was he deliberately trying to undermine Gideon's ambitions without directly disobeying a command? Is that why Gideon had him killed?

Yeah, Pershing seemed insistent that Grogu needed to be alive (though that may have been sentiment and not a practical requirement), the Client didn't care either way, and whoever hired IG-11 specified that Grogu was to be killed no matter what.

I'm ignoring the Mandoalorian jetpacks with fuel to orbit vs can't keep up with the dragon... visuals :adore::cool:

The jetpacks probably have anti-gravity in them, so they might be as or more efficient going straight up than flying horizontally (and remember, "space" is probably closer to you than the next city down the road, it's just uphill, and those ships seemed to be in a very low hover just over the cloud layer).

I found it too short to be honest. Even with how hard earned the happy ending was, it all happened so quickly that I couldn't really feel the weight of Gideon almost winning, almost as if they were rushing through to the end. I had the feeling that they wanted to neatly tie up every possible thread connected to Gideon just so that he wouldn't complicate whatever they have planned for Thrawn in the Ahsoka series. Even the reveal that the clones were of himself seemed more like a way to cut all the threads (no Snoke and resurrecting Palps here, nossir, we just used his leitmotif to throw you off guard) as opposed to a long-awaited reveal of a plan perfectly in character with his gigantic ego. Albeit I admit that this comes more from how tightly paced the finale was as opposed to the plot itself being bad. It's weird, everything's there, it hit all the notes, gave a very satisfying closure to our - now officially - father-and-son duo with a classic "and the real adventure is just beginning" ending, but it still felt like painting by the numbers. To be fair, after the novelty of the Season 1 finale and Luke himself saving the day in Season 2, they had their work cut out for them anyway.

A good final to a uneven season. It was well done and all but it felt lacking due to how predictable it played out. Granted it's hard topping Luke coming to save the day like at the end of season 2. Still I was expecting something bigger to happen.

Yep, that Ship was about 12 miles above the ground from the visuals.

Ah called me odd or what ever!
For once none of those conveluted artificial we are so clever twists and such...

Straight fighting...and the Imps got their arses kicked!!
Nice....I am tired of endless plots twists....dragging stuff out for no good reasons!
