Spoilers The Mandalorian Season 3

Basing off the trailers verse this episode, I think they might resolve the whole "bathing in the waters" business early in the season. Meaning there will be some other plot that will come up soon.

I definitely thought they'd be heading right to Mandalore. But then it was like, "Nevarro again? Really?" It seems like the show kind of went out of its way to waste time at that point.

And then when they said he needed to find a part for the droid I was like "oh no no no no...."

That's exactly how I felt.

Episode 2 leaks
He goes to tatooine to see if Peli has a memory chip, she doesn’t but convinces him to take R5 instead, and then he goes to Mandalore with R5

not the entire episode just the first act

Uniting Mandalorians? Seems painfully obvious.

Best guess is the the Empire has a base on Mandalor, thus the reason few ever return isn't poisoning or radiation. It is blaster fire from TIE fighters and the like. Probably why Bo wanted a fleet, to fight her way in.

What on Earth was that thing? So sort of blood sucker. I would have thought that was Grievous if this was Utapau.

Another solid episode. Random thoughts: -
  • We got to Mandalore a little earlier than I expected. I honestly thought this would be a side-quest episode to get the part for IG-11.
  • Is it weird that I was more afraid for R5 than I was for Grogu? I kinda like that Din has him now; continuing the tradition of the main characters being drawn from old Kenner peg-warmers, plus a Boba Fett painted silver (still holding out for the 'Death Squad Commander'.) R5-D4 definitely fits right in there. Also like how they made him an abject coward and nervous wreck, almost as if he knows he's not a main character. Exact opposite to R2.
  • So not only does Mandalore have Space Morlocks (who's heads look suspiciously familiar), it has a Space Gollum too? One that looks like Grevious had a baby with a Kaled mutant. Also that mech it was riding reminded me of the ancient Mandalorian Basilisk war droid mounts from the old 'Tales of The Jedi' comics.
  • One assumes the Space Morlocks are a little nod to the Taung from Legends.
  • I kinda like that they didn't even attempt to explain who that was collecting all the beskar scraps. He could be a what's left of a crazed, radiation scarred survivor from the purge, or he could be an ancient scavenger that's been down there since the days of Exar Kun, and had no idea the surface has been glassed. Doesn't really matter.
  • Oh and for those not keeping tally, in this episode Bo Katan manages to both win the Darksaber in single combat, and bathe in the Living Waters of the Mines of Mandalore (and lay eyes on an live Mythosaur to boot!) All she has to do is recite the creed, and she's golden. I wonder if that's dawned on her yet.
