The Mandalorian and Grogu (2026)

Maybe another set of "Tales of the X" episodes will come out around then as well. Maybe announce a new animated series to follow The Bad Batch. Maybe one set around the time of the Mandalorian. Like an animated take on Rangers of the New Republic.
Unlikely. So far 'Tales of . . . ' and 'Visions' have been alternating back and forth--mostly it seems because animation typically has a 2 year turn-around, and this is a handy way to have an annual release of one or the other--and next year is a 'Visions' year. If we're getting a third 'Tales' season at all, then it'll be '26 at the earliest.

I wonder if they're going to make him do all of his dialogue in Huttese or if Grotta will speak English? I know some of the Hutts spoke English in the animated series, but I as far as I can remember every Hutt we've seen in live action has only spoken Huttese.

I'd say Ziro and Mama pretty well established that Hutt can indeed speak basic. Indeed going back to RotJ (and ANH from '97 onwards), the subtext has always been that Hutts understand basic just fine, they just don't deign to speak it.

So yeah, if it's a substantial role (and not just one or two scenes and done like The Twins) they're probably going to have him speak his dialogue in English, or else why even bother hiring a character actor for the role?
I mean to this day I don't think the actors that voiced The Twins have even been credited, so they were probably from Skywalker Sounds' usual stable of actors . . . or it's just Accord & Witwer as usual.

OK, I couldn't remember if they ever established any specific rules about Hutts speaking Basic.

Do you really think they'd set a 2026 date if there was a possibility of the movie being ready earlier?

Oh, there have been many cases of movies being completed years before they were released. Release schedules can be affected by a lot of factors beyond just when the movie is ready, like availability of release slots, the desire to avoid competition with certain other movies, or overall studio release strategy.
