Star Trek is certainly filled with its quota of lunatics, and I'm not just talking about Shatner. Some of the 'villains' are not dealing with a full deck. Garth, from TOS, and the later seasons version of Gul'Dukat. The blond chick from "Conscience of the King" is pretty creepy too.

I'm sure there are more...who would be your choices for the 'lunatic fringe' characters of Star Trek?

Rodger Corby, though he turned out to be an android at the end, certainly seemed like a nut-job all along. The look on Kirk's face, as Corby reveals his plan at that breakfast table, surely has the expression of "this guy has lost his mind"..

After all the folks you all mentioned, the ones that comes to my mind are: Colonel Green from The Savage Curtain, and Captain Ron Tracey from The Omega Glory wasn't wrapped too tight either, as I recall! Others include: Dr. Adams from Dagger of the Mind, Melakon from Patterns of Force, Dr. Sevrinsen from The Way to Eden, and I have to include Nona from A Private Little War, too. Armus from Skin of Evil certainly seems crackers, and Daimon Bok from The Battle seems loopy, too, from plotting revenge on Picard. Arturis from VOY seemed to be a crackpot as well. -- RR
