Uncanny! Just watched Rascals today on DVD.

Yeah, its silly, and yes, the Ferengi take over the Ent D far, far too easily; but the episode is just a load of fun. Especially kid Picard's tantrum.

Ro would have seperated the saucer section and let the secondary hull blow up, you should be glad the "incompetent ninny" was in charge and decided to wait.

Personally, I think that was the wiser tactical decision from what little information the three of them had. And O'Brien agreed with Troi, so they could've given him more influence since he obviously knows more than Troi and has both engineering and tactical experience.

EDIT: Personally, I wouldn't want someone who had no idea that "containment breach equals we all go bye-bye" deciding the fates of the rest of the ship.

I always suspected that she knew but either forgot due to nerves (alot of pressure to be under suddenly) or was playing it safe and having someone spell it out for her so she fully understood the situation.

Particularly since one might expect the loss of containment in the antimatter pods to trigger, oh, an ejection mechanism that may leave the ship helpless but also not destroyed, as one example. Of course the viewers know that can't possibly be the case, since ... well, they heard Troi's question about what the implication is and what the consequence is, so they can now be smugly superior.

i'm a bit biased becasue my favorite episodes feature dr. crusher. however, my pick for this is disaster because everyone was involved. my non-crusher episode would have to be the one where data meets his mother. one of my favorites.

c'mon... disaster totally wins here lol. i liked rascals and the loss, but disaster was just so good... mostly because of picard. ;) i loved seeing him with the kids.
