It's Lipton Instant. What in blazes is wrong with Iced Tea in the future?
How about, why Voyager's original XO (Cavit) was so clinically stupid that he figured it'd be a good idea to go running across the bridge right when the ship was being attacked?
What was he doing? Was he running toward the helm? Why?

Well, I don't give him too much credit for that (did he have a name by the way?).

On screen, no. In fact, he's listed in the credits as "Human Doctor." The novelization of Caretaker named him Dr. Fitzgerald, which seems to have stuck for most other tie-ins as well.
"Janeway to human doctor"![]()
I always assumed Tom Paris's problem with the replicator in Caretaker was related to the fact that Voyager was a new ship and the replicator computers hadn't yet been personalized by the crew yet.

(Disregarding the novelization name for now).
So, the EMH having trouble to choose a name thoughout the series wasn't without precedent! Too bad there wasn't a scene in the pilot with Janeway tapping her combadge "Janeway to human doctor"![]()
