***SPOILER DISCUSSION***

The title of the final book will be 'Balance' and RoJoHen called it a few weeks ago.

And I'm just gonna throw this out there...but I'm guessing Book 4 will be titled "Balance."

I even took him up on that and made a banner with that title in advance, thinking he might be right.

Here's an interesting article that talks about the new title, Kuvira and Book 4 in general. If what I've read is true, then we may see Book 4 in early 2015. This is the place for news and eventual discussion of Book 4. You can discuss Book 1 here, Book 2 here and Book 3 here.

I think she's that new metal bender character voiced by Zelda Williams who got that oddly conspicuous introduction in the previous episodes.

If I could hazard a guess I'm thinking she's a new love interest for Mako.

^ I didn't think she was that young. She could be though. Looked like she had eyes for Korra's dad. Did you see the way she was tending to him?

As for the title 'Balance', it looks to have a double meaning. Balance in the world and more importantly, Korra learning to restore balance in her life.

Creators just announced today that Book 4 will start airing on Nick.com on OCTOBER 3RD!!!

And here I thought we'd have to wait a lot longer than that. I know Book 4 was being made simultaneously with Book 3, and as of a few weeks ago they were wrapping up the animation, so I'm sure the show is ready to go. It just seems like Nick is trying to rush it out the door and get it over with.

If we ever expect to see another Avatar series, I have a feeling we're going to need to seek out a new studio. Sounds like a great job for Netflix!

Awesome news!
I just found out while reading about her father, that Kuvira voice actress Zelda Williams is the late Robin Williams' daughter.

Not necessarily. Sure, the studio is owned and operated by Nickelodeon, but I don't think that means all its programs are required to be aired on Nickelodeon or Nicktoons; in fact, I believe that antitrust laws would require other networks to be allowed to bid for the shows. Airing a show on a network owned by the same people as the studio is convenient, but I think it would be illegal to make it compulsory. So if Nick, the network, didn't want to air the show, other networks would be free to bid for it.

Doesn't Nick own the Avatar rights? The creators of the shows don't otherwise we would never have gotten the live action movie.

It's very clear that Nick just wants to burn this off and forget about it.

The fact that they're going to be starting the new season so soon, does not seem to bode well for the franchise's future. I was really hoping for a third Avatar series after LOK, but the way Nick is treating Korra makes me think that is pretty unlikely at this point. I guess there is a chance another network or a streaming service could decide to do a third series, but I don't know how likely that would be.

This is great news. Just think. We're getting Book 4 when Book 3 was supposed to begin.

Just means that Avatar universe will be dead even sooner.

It could be worse, though. They could have canceled it without giving them the chance to finish the story. It doesn't really matter to me when they release the episodes as long as they do. As far as I'm concerned, they could just dump all of Book 4 online today, and I'd watch it all in one sitting.

A:TLA used to be available on Netflix streaming, but they took it off a while ago. I really feel like it's the kind of show that would be successful in that format, however, especially since Korra has proven to have such a high internet audience.

They have A:TLA on Amazon Prime Video... the entire series. Korra is on there too.
