Damn... I'm late to this game, too.

Well, "THE DOOMSDAY MACHINE" would have been my pick anyway... it's always a rewatch when it shows on tv. I am very happy it won.

The Doomsday Machine was one episode I never liked much as a kid! No planets, no aliens and no monsters! But after re-watching it and recording the audio off it in 1979 I loved it! It really is a cracker of a story!

Thanks, @Phaser Two for stepping up to the plate. Even though I wimped out for the final vote, I was hoping that Doomsday Machine would win. If the original vision had the new CGI of the Doomsday Machine (it's awful), the vote may have been different. Why couldn't the not-so-special effects team simulate the original look of the Machine?

The scene with the asteroids hitting the saucer of the damaged USS Constellation was excellent but the rest looked very cartoonish! Although the original effects which i usually prefer were let down by the melted Starship heading into the Planet Killer's maw!

Liked the asteroids. Yes, the melted plastic model was a let down, but the new CG "Constellation flip" just prior to its explosion was also a let down. If only we were the technical advisors for the remaster...

I still prefer the original effects, it was nice to see the CGI stuff but apart from a few I don't think they made the show any better!
