The least disliked episode of TNG - final part

They follow a tour de force scene by Patrick Stewart with a mopey scene of Wesley watching a recording of his dad.

I forgot all about that. Just for that, Family gets sent to counselling.

Damn, only 4 left. I'm picking The Measure of a Man. The issue of Data's sentience was never resolved, the only ruling was that Data was not the property of Starfleet.

I think from here on in we'll be seeing all but two episodes racing towards elimination.

I'll go for Cause and Effect because I like the others a little bit more. They're all five star episodes though and any of them would be worthy winners for different reasons.

Measure for being my least favorite of this list.

I've always felt that Yesterday's Enterprise was overrated. It's OK, but the weakest on the list.

It's been over 72 hours, should The Measure of a Man be given the boot?

I'm going to vote on Yesterday's Enterprise, did not really get into the episode much and was bored.

Might want to wait until BlueStuff gives his word on the rules. I didn't drop The Measure of a Man and reset the scores to zero because it's not my game, but BlueStuff's.

*RULES*

Give what you consider to be the worst/your least favourite episode ONE point, and briefly explain WHY. Be sure to copy and paste the list with your point added. When an episode reaches 4 points, it is eliminated. Then a NEW round begins (in this thread) with the numbers restored to 0. Vote ONCE per round. If 72 hours passes without a vote, the episode with the most votes will be automatically eliminated and a new round will begin. Enjoy!

The last vote was on 11/17/15 at 9:39PM, 72 hours would have ended on 11/20/15 at 9:39PM.

Yes, The Measure of a Man is out. Feel free to make the appropriate changes to the list in future. And we may as well carry Iron Maiden's vote into the next round.

Okay.

Of these 4, Cause and Effect, is the weaker episode.

Cause and Effect for me again, same reason as before.

And a vote for Yesterday's Enterprise for reasons stated above.

I also pick "Cause and Effect," good but a little too gimmicky and the ending with the older crew implied to be clueless/much less competent is a little sour.

Yesterday's Enterprise - 2
Cause and Effect - 3
All Good Things... - 0

I love, love, LOVE Cause and Effect. It's incredible. However, the other episodes are just more watchable and "epic" Star Trek. Once you know the story about the timeloop, watching Cause and Effect is less enjoyable than the other ones. A shame, but I agree it must go.

Bye Cause and Effect. :)

This round I'll go for Q Who. It was the perfect introduction to the Borg, and any scenes with Q and Guinan were gold. I think the scene with Sonya Gomez was quite cheesy to be honest, so it puts it below the other two just a notch.

This is what I thought the last three would be.

The introduction of a enemy unlike any ever before seen by the Federation and it has Q's best line: If you can't take a little bloody nose, maybe you ought to go back home and crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here. It's wondrous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross. But it's not for the timid.

But it still the weakest of the three, one more vote for Q Who?

I'll put in a point for All Good Things... The 'mood' of early TNG was long gone by the end. Everything got flat, and the 'sonic wallpaper' added nothing. And when I think of the last episode, I think of what they jumped right into next.... Generations. :scream:

I thought AGT would go all the way without a single vote against it. Now my faith has been shaken.

So....let me get this straight. You're voting for AGT as the worst episode because the movie Generations was bad and you didn't like the music in a bunch of other episodes. Sounds reasonable.

All Good Things was the best Season Finale of all the shows. It was so good many have said it should have been a movie. It deserves to stay. Yesterday's Enterprise as well. It is the best of the best. Q Who is good, but it has a few minor flaws that bring it down: The weird Guinan/Q relationship we never hear from again, and some dodgy early-TNG production values.
