The least disliked episode of DS9 - season four

[Bad Thoughts]

I'll take out Hippocratic Oath. Perhaps not as good as the other Bashir episode on the list, though still pretty good. It's nice to see tension between O'Brien and Bashir and how the officer-NCO dynamic works out.

I'll quicken this along by removing "The Quickening". It's a good episode, but the alien race has no further significance to the broader DS9 story and I can't say I enjoy rewatching it due to the subject matter (which is really a credit to the episode itself, but...).

Broken Link had a great cliffhanger with human Odo and 'changeling' Gowron. I think that what's left is better though.

To The Death. Great scene by scene, but overall the set up is contrived. It's a little too difficult to believe that the two sides would collaborate for any length of time. And I still don't know why Odo does not bark a few orders and gets the rebelling Jem Hadar to stand down.

I'll eliminate Way of the Warrior. Not a bad episode but I feel making the Klingons an adversary was a kind of forced way to get Worf involved. And it's up against some really great episodes.

I'll take out Paradise Lost. An excellent two-parter, I just think the setup is better than the payoff.

I remove Homefront. It's ok, but not as good as the Visitor. I was never a great fan of the shapeshifter paranoia on display here. I know that was the point, but it makes it harder for me to enjoy it than the Visitor.

The Visitor wins.
