The least disliked episode of DS9 - Final Round

I haven't watched Season 7 as much as the other seasons, although I like it. I can't remember which episodes are The Changing Face of Evil or Tacking into the Wind.

Improbable Cause - 0
In Purgatory's Shadow - 0
By Inferno's Light - 0
Rocks and Shoals - 0
The Changing Face of Evil - 3
Tacking into the Wind - 0

I guess I'll go for "Changing Face of Evil" as well, on the grounds that it gets so much mileage out of the destruction of the Defiant, which is almost immediately undone.

The Changing Face of Evil is the big moment when Damar snaps and gets his rebellion going; the Defiant is heart-breakingly destroyed in battle; and Winn finds out that she has been sleeping with Dukat, though the accidental death of Solbor means his blood reveals the Kosst Amojan to Winn.

Tacking into the Wind is where things come to a head with Worf and Gowron, leading to Gowron's death, and Martok as the new leader. Worf and Ezri have a frank discussion about the Klingon Empire; Damar kills Russot when they are on-board a Jem'Hadar fighter; Bashir does his best to find out more information about the Changeling illness, but is stonewalled at each turn; finally, we find out Odo has developed the illness very quickly for all of the shape-shifting he has been doing for the resistance.

They're both good episodes, but Tacking in the Wind probably has more meat.

I liked those episode a lot, they were epic and pitch perfect in all regards(except for Dukat-Kai Winn insanity). I thought Damar's rebellion was the most memorable subplot of the final episodes. That man had had enough.

Face of Evil is gone, not bc its bad but bc the others are so bulletproof

I'm doing "By Inferno's Light" this round. As "Favor The Bold" is not as good as "Rocks And Shoals", and "Changing Face Of Evil" is not as good as "Tacking Into The Wind", "Inferno's Light" is not as good as "Purgatory's Shadow." The scenes with the Bashir Changeling are a little off, and it is ridiculous that the runabout is just waiting in orbit for them to escape on.

In Purgatory's Shadow - 0
By Inferno's Light - 2
Rocks and Shoals - 0
Tacking into the Wind - 0

Every single one of these left are exceptional episodes. Since even the scenes are great ones, I'm forced to look for seconds in an episode that don't work.

My vote goes to "BY INFERNO'S LIGHT" simply because of the off looking smile of Changeling Bashir.

It's hard to vote for any of these. I guess I will go with Improbable Cause, just because I think the fake bombing part was a little clumsy compared to the other episodes.

Improbable Cause - 1
In Purgatory's Shadow - 0
By Inferno's Light - 2
Rocks and Shoals - 0
Tacking into the Wind - 0

Tacking into the wind because klingon politics ... meh.

Improbable Cause - 1
In Purgatory's Shadow - 0
By Inferno's Light - 2
Rocks and Shoals - 0
Tacking into the Wind - 1

All of these episodes were great. I think I'll vote for By Inferno's Light as it wasn't as strong as the setup in the episode before. Everything seemed to happen a bit too quickly at the end.

Improbable Cause - 1
In Purgatory's Shadow - 0
By Inferno's Light - 3
Rocks and Shoals - 0
Tacking into the Wind - 1

Inferno's Light is extinguished. I agree that, while great, the resolution occurs a little too fast.

Improbable Cause - 0
In Purgatory's Shadow - 0
Rocks and Shoals - 0
Tacking into the Wind - 0

I'll start the next round with Tacking into the Wind. I didn't like the hammy way Gowron fell over backwards after being stabbed.

Improbable Cause - 0
In Purgatory's Shadow - 0
Rocks and Shoals - 0
Tacking into the Wind - 1

Tacking into the Wind, same reason as before.

Improbable Cause - 0
In Purgatory's Shadow - 0
Rocks and Shoals - 0
Tacking into the Wind - 2

Improbable Cause - 0
In Purgatory's Shadow - 0
Rocks and Shoals - 1
Tacking into the Wind - 2

Voting for me now consists of a dartboard. These final 4 are so good, I can't even find seconds that I don't like.

"ROCKS AND SHOALS" just got the hit for this round.

(Not joking about the dartboard. I have one set up, and that's the one that hit furthest from the bullseye.)

Rocks and Shoals; very, very good episode, but it's the only one of these that I wouldn't really classify as a "must see". Heck, thanks to the screwed-up episode order on the S6 DVD set, I actually went straight from A Time to Stand to Sons and Daughters, and didn't realize I had skipped over the episode!

Improbable Cause - 0
In Purgatory's Shadow - 0
Rocks and Shoals - 2
Tacking into the Wind - 2

"Improbable Cause" I'm feeling particularly high on how much I loved DS9's serialization lately. These are all excellent examples of that, but the latter three are just more developed in that area.

Improbable Cause - 1
In Purgatory's Shadow - 0
Rocks and Shoals - 2
Tacking into the Wind - 2

IC because of those stupid cave scenes that I abhor and those Cardassian eyes....

Improbable Cause - 2
In Purgatory's Shadow - 0
Rocks and Shoals - 2
Tacking into the Wind - 2

Random aside, but I was just looking at the previous rounds of this game, and I found it interesting that there were only 4 episodes that made the finals every time:

"Emissary"
"Improbable Cause"
"In Purgatory's Shadow"
"Tacking Into The Wind"

And here we are with almost exactly that list!

I'll vote for Rocks and Shoals as well. It's slightly less amazing than the others.

Improbable Cause - 2
In Purgatory's Shadow - 0
Rocks and Shoals - 3
Tacking into the Wind - 2

I will also vote for Rocks and Shoals.
Improbable Cause - 2
In Purgatory's Shadow - 0
Tacking into the Wind - 2
