I'd still really like to know who that informant was supposed to be.

I kind of like the idea that he was Thrax.

In the back of my mind for the rest of the series I was trying to guess who the informant might have been, but I never saw anything that would even count as a reasonable guess. Of course he was probably killed by the Dominion in the 7th season, if not before.

I always loved that that particular mystery went unresolved, the identity of the "Improbable Cause" informant. It was executed so stylishly that it really is better to just have your imagination filling in the gaps on that one...
