The Least Disliked Episode 2025 - PIC Season 1

Our addictive biyearly game of rapid elimination returns - now with more shows than ever. It's generally a lot of fun, providing a chance to mentally revisit those episodes you may not have thought about in a while. With that in mind, why not play again?

So, here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favourite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode just because you feel it would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win. Pretty simple. Enjoy!

Going to start with the finale, "Et in Arcadia Ego, Part II".

The cut and paste starship fleet was bad enough, but the Lovecraft robot tentacles? And Picard in the new android body?

Just... no.

(I will say the goodbye scene between him and Data was excellent.)

I still can not believe that finale of this season. What a slapdash embarrassment. The craziest detail to me remains that they filmed scenes of the surviving xB's integrating into the synths colony and forming some great new society, which would have actually tied up the whole season and given a point to all of this AND DELIVERED ON THE THEMES (instead of the undermining versio we got), and they cut it!

In favor of 10 minutes of fake-out grieving over Picard's death before it's immediately reversed?

No sense.

Anyway, "Broken Pieces", for being the point at which the whole show goes off the rails. It started in the B plot of "Nepenthe", but that still had a great A story to cling to. But in "Broken Pieces" there's nowhere to hide, it all crumbles.

I'll remove "The Impossible Box" for being maximum Borg Cube, as I wasn't all the keen on that side of the story.

Et In Arcadia Ego 1 was a bit of a slapdash episode.

I disliked the 'universe was going to end' plot.

Removed “The End Is the Beginning”. The first season’s premiere is excellent imo, but its immediate follow-ups, somewhat less so.

Late to the game...I shall remove Nepenthe. I don't dislike this episode but I felt Remembrance was an excellent "setting-up" episode for the series

 

[Farscape One]

I say these are the two best of this season. So either way, they deserve to be in the Finals.

I think I will make "Remembrance" the winner, because as a Data fan, I was thrilled at seeing him appear, even as brief as it was. Plus, we see just how much his death truly affected Picard.

"Remembrance" is the winner.
