The Least Disliked Episode 2025 - ENT Season 3

BlueStuff

So, here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favourite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode just because you feel it would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win.
Pretty simple. Enjoy! :bolian:

Rajiin is an easy choice to eliminate, stands out in an otherwise very strong season.

I love "Rajiin", but I know everyone else hates it.

"E²" is a tangent in the wrong place. Just when you're dying for the pace to accelerate, we stop for this side adventure.

Taking out "NORTH STAR".

Absolutely useless episode for the Xindi arc. At least the other standalones were connected to the arc, even as a tangent. Plus, it was not a good episode.

Chosen Realm is relatively unremarkable, religious zealots hijacking the ship seems like it would have worked in seasons 1 or 2, but it is a little out of place in one big seasonal arc.

"Hatchery" has such a good setup. Finding this ship of baby Xindi and what do we do with it - that could have been incredible!

But they go such a dumb way with it. The story as told is all wrong. There's no moral dilemma, just over-the-top possession and these totally implausible relieving-of-duty plot twists, and the whole stupid thing with the MACO's. Awful.

"Harbinger" feels like they took three C plots and stitched them together, but the worst thing about it is that it contributes to the main arc so you can't comfortably skip it.

"EXTINCTION" is now... extinct.

While it was nice acting of Bakula, Keating, and Park with their gestures and movements being pretty much in sync, the episode really did nothing for the arc.

And LeVar Burton did a fine job directing... just wish he was given a better script to direct. (Though fitting he gets this one, since "Identity Crisis" had Geordi in the center.)

It's getting tough now.

I'll take out "STRATAGEM".

It was good to get to know Degra a bit, and it was a good ploy. I just like all the others more for various reasons.

Twilight
Similitude
Proving Ground

I know people love it, but "Azati Prime" pisses me off. It gets all of its impact from building to this big, cataclysmic, NO ESCAPE cliffhanger... which the follow-up episode then just "nopes" out of. All of this episodes power comes from the fact that it cheats.

Any hack can write an incredible setup, if you've freed yourself from the burden of following it through honestly.

Tough choices to be made now. While it is a great episode Similitude is going to be my victim. I know it's one of those journey not the destination episodes but the opening cliffhanger was obviously not what it seemed and awaiting an explanation not a reveal or a twist nudges the experience below the remaining contenders.

Twilight
Proving Ground
Damage
The Forgotten
The Council
Countdown

Generally speaking, I think the Xindi arc has a terrible opening act and a terrible final act, and all the highlights come from the middle section of the season (and most of those have already been removed).

So, I'll hack off "Countdown." I already eliminated the actual finale and this is another part of this arc's failed final act.

I really do not like the Xindi arc.
