The Least Disliked Episode 2025 - ENT Season 2

So, here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favourite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode just because you feel it would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win. Pretty simple. Enjoy! :bolian:

"Precious Cargo", the episode so bad it offed my fandom till Star Trek '09. I was catching Enterprise only occasionally at this point, and after "Precious Cargo" I decided to make a point of intentionally avoiding it. Now, if Enterprise was the only thing on, that meant the TV was off.

"FUTURE TENSE" is now past tense.

The only thing worse than the Temporal Cold War? Having an episode of it and it adding nothing to the rest of that storyline. This episode could have not ever existed at all and it would have changed absolutely nothing. I like mysteries not being solved at the end sometimes, like in VOY's "PERSISTENCE OF VISION", but this? Just did nothing for me.

(I did like seeing Tholian ships again, and the DOCTOR WHO homage.)

A Night in Sickbay, another Archer is an idiot episode. He takes his dog on an away mission, lets him piss on a holy tree and then starts complaining when the aliens are offended and demand an apology because he somehow blames them for getting Porthos sick when it was his choice to take him to the planet in the first place.
And of course they also threw in a "T'Pol is hot and Archer wants her" sub plot.:vulcan:

This really is Star Trek's worst season. For awhile I thought it might be Disco season 2, but this season is worse. So many of these episodes are just utterly forgettable. There are really only two flavors this season: bad, or bland.

I'll next eliminate "Horizon." What was going on in the writers room that they thought they could even attempt this? Anthony Montgomery was the weakest actor to ever to end up a Trek regular, he was not going to be able to handle something as heavy as the surprise death of an estranged father!

Until DISCO season 1 aired, I would have agreed that ENT season 2 was the worst in the franchise. Then DISCO season 2 was even worse than season 1, so that ended up being the worst in the franchise. Then PICARD season 2 happened... and became the worst in the franchise. The limbo bar can't possibly get lower than that. (We'll see how ACADEMY goes...)

But after those three seasons happened... ENT season 2 flies circles around them and has been elevated greatly. Put it this way... I'd rewatch the entire ENT season 2 BEFORE I'd rewatch a single episode of DISCO 1 and 2 and PICARD season 2. (And to this day, I still have not rewatched a single episode of DISCO or PICARD season 2. My wife pointed out to me that that was the biggest indicator of how I felt about them. She's right.)




My next kill is "CANAMAR".

We don't even get to see the place the episode is titled from. And prison break stories (in this case, prison transport) are not really my thing... very few exceptions aside, they just don't get me excited.

"Judgment" Trek is often weak in the courtroom, and this forgettable episode is no exception.

Putting "COGENITOR" out to pasture. (Well, so did the episode.)

This makes Trip look really bad, the worst his character appeared in the entire show. I will give it positive points for being a still debated episode today, but the amount of character assassination to Trip is just too much to ignore, so it goes.

I think it is a bit weaker than the rest. Plus, every time I think of this title, I end up humming or singing "I'm Too Sexy".

There is one episode in season 2 that just bored me to tears, because it was telling a story so unlike Star Trek that it had strayed into another genre I just wasn't interested in. And that episode is "Carbon Creek".

I like the Catwalk, there's something comforting about it, perhaps because I've never really had a friendship group that would go on trips together and have the kind of close quality time that the crew get here. And Carbon Creek is wholesome and a bit campy, I find it a nice feelgood episode. But I've no doubt in one game or another I have erased/saved episodes others would find inconceivable but therein lies the fun.

For now, I'm booting Singularity, it's another episode where the concept had already been done before.

Taking out "THE SEVENTH". Despite it having Bruce Davison, who always is a good casting choice, I like the rest here more.
