The least disliked episode 2023 - TNG Final Rounds

(salivating at the prospect of possibility being released from this temporal loop...)
Sorry, not from me. :p
From me, then. I'm voting "Cause and Effect," same reason as before. @Farscape One , say "hi" to Captain Bateson for me on your way out of the temporal loop!

While I'm here I'll cast the first vote in the next round, for "Where Silence Has Lease." I just find it the least memorable of the episodes remaining.

Conspiracy - 0
Q Who - 0
Where Silence Has Lease - 1
Yesterday's Enterprise - 0
The Defector - 0
All Good Things... - 0

Like Q said when he got his powers back, "You have my eternal gratitude."

These are all REALLY great episodes, for different reasons. It's hard to pick.

Because I love horror greatly and creepy episodes, two of these are safe for now. The two Q adventures are excellent, so they are safe for now. And the look at how GREAT the Romulans are at chess is safe for now.

Which brings me to time travel/alternate history. By process of elimination, I vote for "Yesterday's Enterprise" this round.

Yesterday's Enterprise, the best Tasha episode by far and very entertaining but I think making the alternate reality crappy was a bit too easy, instead of a long and bloody war that the federation was about to lose it should have just been different but not worse. Like Data being the chief engineer, Deanna at Ops, Geordie being the pilot and Wesley as a nursing student in sickbay. The Klingons could still be allies, the romulan attack on its own being enough to push them towards the federation in the aftermath.
I think that would have made the conflict much more interesting, the characters could speculate that the future would be better had the Enterprise C been destroyed back then but we the audience would know it wouldn't make a difference in the big picture. There would also be some irony in Tasha trading one senseless death (which it wasn't but the episode called it that) for another.

The Defector - 0

And I'll vote for Where Silence Has Lease again to eliminate it, for the same reasons.

On the updated list, I'll go for Conspiracy, an easy classic from season one. I guess it doesn't quite compare to the other episodes left.

Conspiracy - 1
Q Who - 0
Yesterday's Enterprise - 0
The Defector - 0
All Good Things... - 0

To my surprise, I will vote for "Yesterday's Enterprise." I have often described it as my favorite TNG episode, but right now I've (temporarily) burned it out by rewatching, it's tiny flaws are all front of mind for me.

Like, the last act. That space battle is really flat, and we should be cutting back to Tasha on the bridge of the C, it shouldn't be only our D regulars that we see.

I just rewatched "Conspiracy" yesterday actually, that story is actually much better constructed & paced than I remember!

Conspiracy - 3
Q Who - 0
Yesterday's Enterprise - 2
The Defector - 0
All Good Things... - 0

Didn't even get to help finish Conspiracy... but whatever.

Of the four remaining, I think Defector is probably the weakest. Despite one of the best denouments of any Trek episode, the rest of it doesn't quite measure up.

Q Who - 0
Yesterday's Enterprise - 0
The Defector - 1
All Good Things... - 0

Had I been earlier, I might have been able to save "Conspiracy".

"Yesterday's Enterprise"
gets my vote this round. Same reason as before.

Q Who - 0
Yesterday's Enterprise - 1
The Defector - 1
All Good Things... - 0

"Yesterday's Enterprise" - I'm not a massive fan of time travel and alternate universes. (I was hoping "Conspiracy" or "The Defector" would win but that's not looking likely.)

Q Who - 0
Yesterday's Enterprise - 2
The Defector - 1
All Good Things... - 0
