The least disliked episode 2023 - TNG Final Rounds

Voting for "Cause And Effect".

Same reason as before. (Trying to be consistent.)

Yes, but inconsistency is so much more fun! (Until one gets dizzy from doing too much of it, like eating too much ice cream or twirling in circles at 500rpm or something like that...)

I've never vibed with "The Wounded" to the degree most do. Some of that dialogue, oy, embarrassingly clunky.

I think I'm on board to vote for The Wounded too. It's mostly classic, with great material for O'Brien, and of course, seeing the Cardassians for the first time. It's just a shame that at the end of the episode, we saw that Maxwell was right and that the Cardassians were plotting something. It gave the episode less of a bite by doing the expected.

Agreed on the Wounded, which is therefore now out. For the next round, I vote "Ensign Ro". It's fine, introduced a cool new character, but it's a bit on the dry side narratively.

I’m also going to go for Ensign Ro. Never really clicked with the character and the narrative of the surreptitious admiral up to no good is a bit of a cliche.

I feel like l am caught in a temporal loop.

Voting for "Cause And Effect"... again. For the same reasons as before.

I'm going "Ensign Ro." These are my feelings exactly.

For the next round, I vote "Ensign Ro". It's fine, introduced a cool new character, but it's a bit on the dry side narratively.

For years every time I rewatched "Ensign Ro", I was surprised by how flat the actual episode was.

I'm voting for Ensign Ro as well, and eliminating it. It does a great job of doing world-building. The idea of the Cardassians occupying Bajpor for such a long amount of time is terrifying in particular. However, there are parts of the episode that fell short.

As for the fresh list, I'll go for Ship in a Bottle. I love Moriarty and love the end of the episode, but it's not as good as the excellent episodes left.

I’m going for Where Silence Has Lease. Not a terrible episode, just not as good as the others on the list. I feel like Nagilums decision to kill half the crew isn’t given enough thought beyond “because I don’t know what death is”.

I really am stuck in a time loop, because I am still voting for "Cause And Effect".

"The Pegasus" The premise is just less exciting to me than the rest.

I'll vote for "The Pegasus", if for no other reason than it unnecessarily retconned five years off Riker's age.
