The Least Disliked Episode 2023: DS9 Season 3

Oops, that might have been me subconsciously not wanting to remove it but from the remaining ones it really is my least favorite.

I understand. It had some truly great moments. And yes, the torture scene was hard to watch, even when you understand that Garak is one coldblooded bastard (who else can vaporize a man and say "a pity, I rather liked him").

 

[Farscape One]

Really tough ones left.

Taking out "PAST TENSE, PART I" because all the remainders, except for the second part, deal with the larger arcs of DS9.

[Seven of Five]

As season-enders go, The Adversary is a very good one, if it's no The Jem'Hadar, or Call to Arms. It's the weakest episode left, so it's gone.

Second Skin, I can't get over the fact that the real Iliana really looked like Kira as a cardassian, that broke my suspension of disbelief. So the cardassians realized that one of their own who went undercover on Bajor just happens to look exactly like Kira and thought "Awesome, let's kidnap her, make her look cardassian so that she becomes scared and traumatized making her "father" reveal that he's a traitor", that's a really convoluted plan considering they already must have known Tekeny Ghemor was a traitor to set the plan in motion in the first place and it all depends on them finding an actual bajoran woman who looked like Iliana.

Aww, House of Quark was my favorite. At least it made it to the final four.

Destiny is the next to go, good episode but the other two are more impactful in my opinion.

While "THE SEARCH, PART I" introduced the Defiant and changed things for DS9, "IMPROBABLE CAUSE" was just about a perfect episode.

"IMPROBABLE CAUSE" wins.

Taking out "PAST TENSE, PART II" for the same reason as the first part.

But... it had Avery Brooks running amuck with a shotgun! Can't you sense the Hawk vibe, even if he still had hair then?

Well, whatever. "Improbable" is a worthy winner.
