The Maquis II exits, mainly because I thought it was dumb that they had Bashir flying one of the runabouts. He's a doctor, not a combat pilot!

An impossible choice. I'll take out Whispers, which is an excellent episode, but obviously, the surprise over the truth with Miles' clone slightly lessened the impact of the story after the first watch.

"Necessary Evil" The mystery plotting doesn't actually hold up. Can't beat the vibes or the world-building, though!

Then I’ll give the win to The Wire, a decade before McNulty and co brought down the Barksdales. If the choice is between a Garak episode and another episode, then there’s really no choice at all.

The Wire is a great choice to win, and it's also the first part of the excellent Enabran Tain saga.

"The Wire" is deserving. Honorable mention to the Homecoming trilogy, IMO. It took me a few years to realize just how good this one was.

The Homecoming Trilogy is so good, it's a shame Li Nalas died in the end as he could have been an important recurring figure over the years.
