The least disliked episode 2021 - DS9 Season Four

Inner Light is a good episode, I just don't get why it gets pointed to as one of the best episodes.

It's a bit weird, they have the technology to plant an elaborate dream in a completely alien brain but they don't have the technology to get off the planet.

It's a bit weird, they have the technology to plant an elaborate dream in a completely alien brain but they don't have the technology to get off the planet.

They don't seem to have any technology at all.

 

[Qonundrum]

A proper sequel might have had them come across a dead spaceship, unable to go FTL, and expand on the dead society a bit more, but this is season 6 - soap opera gone wild. That's why Picard got to whip out his flute to the love interest of the week as a plotline instead.

 

[Oddish]

I admit, you have to suspend some logic for "Inner Light"... but it's such an epic episode, full of love and tragedy and wonder, that it's worth it.

I'm glad that Quickening won this one. It was a worthy episode.
