The least disliked episode 2021 - DS9 Final Rounds

[Seven of Five]

I'll eliminate When it Rains... then. I love the Final Chapter, but this isn't the best episode from the final run.

In the next round, I'll go from Homefront. I love seeing Earth here, and how the rampant Changeling paranoia was gradually making things crazy. It's so hard choosing now, I just like the others more.

It's a shame that a lack of budget affected the two-parter so much, as I would love to see the writers' original take on the story when it was supposed to be the S3 finale.

I vote for By Inferno's Light this round. The prison camp was weird, why did they even keep the real Bashir and Martok alive? Once they were replaced they had no use for them, realistically they should have been killed right away. Like Swedish Borg said before, the escape was also too easy. There are too many moments that are obviously done to keep main characters around although in universe it doesn't make a lot of sense.

Interrogating them about what? The Martok and Bashir changelings had access to everything while they impersonated their victims for weeks or longer. Combat training could be a reason to keep Martok around but Bashir? He's not a fighter.

Of course the episode isn't bad, no episode on the list is bad so the reasons will become nitpicky.

Sacrifice of Angels is next. It's a great conclusion to the Occupation Arc, but it's not as strong as the others that are left.

I never liked how poorly Odo's betrayal was dealt with, though that's probably the fault of You Are Cordially Invited.

For the next round: The Die is Cast. The first part is way better, so are the rest of the episodes in this list... and I didn't like this torture angle at all.
