I'm removing Caretaker, it's a weaksauce pilot episode with a whole bunch of elements that were never followed up.

Water shortage in the Delta quadrant? Never heard of again. The Caretaker / The Ocampa? Underused with a poor single part follow-up two years later. Other ships dragged across the Galaxy? We encountered one and a rogue torpedo. Tensions integrating the Maquis? Largely forgotten a few episodes in to the series. Dead flight operator, first officer, chief medical officer? They won't be missed!

As it's own piece I basically can have fun with "Dark Frontier", but it's another one of those big Voyager Vs. Borg showdowns that leave the Borg notably diminished and less scary at the end of it.

And though I can enjoy snarking on it, it is kind of awful how Voyager took that legitimately mysterious and alien Queen we met in "First Contact", and turned her into a classic scheming soap opera villainess in a necrophiliac dominatrix costume.

I'm removing What You Leave Behind. It's a great wrap-up to DS9, but requires so much context on the previous three years that it can no way stand alone as a good two partner. It spends far too much time saying goodbye which is fine when we've just been through the Dominion War with all our beloved characters, but isn't an episode I'm choosing to watch on its own merits. Compare with AGT which is a great story all by itself.

And the first show is off the board! TOS hung in for awhile there, I was starting to wonder if it's single item would endure past ALL of Voyager and/or Enterprise.

Flesh and Blood is out. VOY season 7 had very few highlights; this was not one of them.

I do kind of like this one, but honestly my favorite thing about it is how go-for-broke they are with the range of Star Trek aliens represented amidst the holographic crew. It's a great visual on that era of franchise history.
