For awhile I've been thinking of doing a twist on @BlueStuff 's "Least Disliked Episode" elimination games, the change being that instead of using seasons of the shows for the lists, I would use themed collections of episodes from across the franchise instead. So here is my first attempt -- I thought I'd start with the most easily definable* of themes, and one that would definitely pull in episodes from all of the live action series -- 2-Part & 2-Hour episodes. In other versions of these elimination games, it can be hard to judge the bigger stories against single episodes that only have half the running time to work with. I am curious what happens when they are judged only against each other.
And if people like this kind of cross-Trek elimination game, I think I already have my next 15 ideas lined up
(least disliked Klingon episode, least disliked holodeck episode, least disliked time travel episode...)
Anyway, THE RULES. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. Below is a list of every two-part or two-hour episode from every series. Eliminate your least favorite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, please leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.
No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode just because you feel they would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win.
*And, even with the seemingly concrete parameters of 2-part/2-hour episodes, I did go back and fourth on whether a handful of these *technically* counted. If you disagree with something even being included here, feel free to use that as a reason to eliminate it!
