It was alright this week. Though nothing outstanding it was entertaining enough. I do like that they're getting the rest of the Nathan James crew involved in the story, especially Bacon accidently giving Dr. Scott necessary information. The Master Chief also had some good stuff this week with his warning Chandler about turning the sub into a white whale and his scene with Scott towards the end was also a nice moment.
They seem to have an interesting parallel between Chandler and Sean. Chandler of course becoming so intent on the sub he's starting to lose sight of cure distribution despite protests from his crew. Sean intent of bringing other immunes into the fold that he's losing sight of the Nathan James despite protests from his crew.
We hear another one of the sub's crew refer to himself as a Warrant Officer. Assuming this isn't a title he bestowed upon himself, or that Sean bestowed upon him, is it possible he did serve in the Navy prior to the plague and might have prior experience on subs? In which case, so too could others, meaning that the sub isn't being operated by people mostly unfamiliar with the operation of a submarine as many of us believed last week. Granted, it's convenient that there are enough people with a natural immunity to crew a sub, but there we are.
Speaking of convenient immunes, isn't it just a bit too lucky that a US politician who was in the order of succession for president was immune? Or is it possible that Sean and his people do have some of the cure, found this Secretary, gave him the cure so that he could serve their purposes of needing a puppet leading America? Something about the Secretary's facial expressions suggests to me he's not 100% on board with Sean.
A bit disappointed they didn't play a bit more with the love interest angle between Lieutenants Burke and Bivas this week, aside from some grins in the clothes changing scene. Yeah, I know, there was a story to tell, but with the two of them being selected as teammates each time teaming up is done, I was hoping for something else. Oh well.
Nitpick time, at the beginning we see Dr. Scott accompanying the team which checked out Dr. Hunter's lab. Even though Scott is a civilian, shouldn't she still have been wearing a combat vest while in a potentially hostile location where enemy combatants could have been?
