RIP Terence Stamp, like Bond an icon of the swinging sixties and who met with Eon to replace Sean Connery. I’m pretty sure that I once read an interview with him where he said he would’ve loved to play 007 (and I think he would’ve been incredible). Here he is with the man who did replace Connery and who this thread references

The designer of the iconic 007 logo has passed away at the age of 103 which is a bloody good innings. Only paid $300 for the logo but he seemed quite happy about this as a whole lot of work came his way thanks to Bond.

i was initially sad to hear of his passing, but then remembered he made it to 103, and in addition to the 007 logo, he created the posters and lettering for West Side Story, Cabaret, Rollerball, he created the animated title sequence for The Last Temptation of Christ, and he was married for 81 years until his wife's death earlier this year. I’m still hoping that Amazon will do one-offs or streaming things that would allow him or Dalton to reprise the role as well as period pieces or the like. But they seem to be prioritising getting a new series of films up and running, which is fair enough. But, Jeff, these guys aren’t getting any younger…
Short Treks, but set in differing Bond continuities. Bond Prime (1962-2002), Craigverse (2006-21) and whatever the new setting and timeframe will be.
There was some rumours going back 20 years or more of a bond film with all of them in playing ex bonds. Was going to be called Warbird 2000 or something like that.
