The James Bond Film Discussion Thread (With Bonus Lazenby!)

That's really good and I agree OHMSS is a great soundtrack.

My only two slight niggles are with the sniffiness about TSWLM and GE soundtracks. I think The Spy Who Loves Me is great, and Goldeneye, while not perfect, isn't as bad as is made out.
For me, most of my nostalgia about the GoldenEye soundtrack stems directly from its use in the N64 game. The movie music by itself isn't bad at all, but with my endless hours playing the N64 game and listening to the music pulsating in the background I largely hear the game when I listen to the movie soundtrack.

And even to my limited knowledge 9mm has way more stopping power than 7.65mm
I wouldn't want to get hit with either but, yeah, 9mm has a velocity of about 1140 feet per second (fps) while .32 Auto/7.65mm rounds travel at a velocity of 960 fps and 9mm's muzzle energy averages out to 360 ft-lb, while a .32 Auto/7.65mm Browning round averages out to only about 140 ft-lb.

I was at the theatre to see Superman today, during the "pre-show," that thing where they show interview clips from upcoming movies as well as trivia questions and facts about actors, they had question which actor played James Bond the longest, with the options being Daniel Craig, Roger Moore or Sean Connery. I naturally assumed it was Moore, but the actual answer provided at the end was Craig. I just did some checking online, and yeah, though Moore did the more movies, they were released over a twelve year period while Craig's were released over a fifteen year period.

Also, while I was Googling this matter, the top Bond news right now is that Sydney Sweeney is rumored to be the Bond Girl in the new movie. I didn't look into the matter any further, as I'm not sure anything will come of this, I'm sure between now and when the movie's cast is officially announced nearly all of the most popular actresses at the moment will be rumored to be the new movie's Bond Girl(s).

It would have been a lot closer if NTTD had made its originally planned release date!

Sweeney is a better actor than people give her credit for, but I always think (relatively) unknown European actresses work better as Bond girls than famous American ones.

Give me a Tracy, Kara, Natalya, Vesper, or Madeline over a Christmas, Stacey, Jinx, or Paris any day!
