Trump’s 2017-2021 term was the first Presidential term since JFK not to see the release of a Bond movie. Wonder will this term be a repeat?

Probably. Trumps term ends in two years and they havent even cast the new Bond yet. Its like fate is saying "Bond Will NOT Return While THAT Guy Is President"

Technically closer to 2 & 1/2 years, almost to the day (Jan 20 2029) until the next inauguration. But yes, while not impossible, given how long films take now and given Villeneuve’s Dune commitments etc., I think it’s more likely to be after that date than before.

I believe Thatcher is, thus far, the only British prime minister to have appeared in a Bond movie. She appeared in a lighthearted scene at the end of For Your Eyes Only. Btw, fantastic theme song.

You're right. She wasn't the real Margaret Thatcher. It was the actress Janet Brown playing the role of Thatcher.

Curiously, in the scene, Thatcher was depicted doing housework, cooking in the kitchen while her husband Denis stood by; not the real Denis either, but an actor who did a goofy impression of Denis.

I'm overall a fan of FYEO, but the "Thatcher" scene is almost too over the top. The phone is in the kitchen cabinet!

Denis getting his hand smacked for sneaking food is the best part.

Thing is Maggie did insist on doing a lot of cooking for Denis as well as other traditional housewife tasks like ironing so the scene isn't that outlandish, though whether to makers of FYEO knew this or not is debatable
