It was 2008. There was a global economic crisis. We all suffered. I apologize for nothing.

I think it's fine where it is. That's the point. We got there. He's Bond now.I do love that the movie ends on the first "true" Craig gunbarrel, though it quite frankly should have been at the very beginning before the car chase.
Hey I remember this! It had its own video with clips from the trailer and the wrong titles he comes up with. When QoS was announced as the title, I remember the parody song that was written for it. Someone went and synced the song to the opening credits of the movie.
I've always maintained that QoS isn't so bad if you watch it immediately after Casino Royale as a part one/part two deal. It doesn't stand up on its own.I know it's unpopular opinion, but I think it's a great film.
I'm confused...wasn't Bautista in Spectre?I do like Dave Bautista. He was a henchman who should have returned later in Craig's run as 007. It's nowhere near as dumb as Spectre, but it's similarly lifeless and just unmotivating as a story.
Update from Amazon about the search for the new 007:

Even less reason to like QoS. Now he's not even in it.I'm confused...wasn't Bautista in Spectre?

Yeah, that really bummed me out. He has proven that he has great comedic and dramatic chops in a variety of films (and not just the Guardians trilogy) and I agree making his character was a baffling choice.Bautista in Spectre was such a waste, to take a man with great comic timing and good vocal skills and make him a mute henchman was such a disappointment!
That's similar to how I felt when Scott Glenn played Umpeenth Man on Phone in one of the endless BOURNE sequels. Still, Dave is quite ubitiquous in lots of franchises at least: DUNE, Bond, Blade Runner, Riddick, Marvel, New Zoo Revue, La Cage Aux Folles....Yeah, that really bummed me out. and he didn't even get to use his invisibility power!Bautista in Spectre was such a waste, to take a man with great comic timing and good vocal skills and make him a mute henchman was such a disappointment!
