When I did a full classic Bond rewatch a few years ago, I got really sick of all the skiing sequences. So by the time I got to A View to a Kill I was already over it, but the 'California Girls' bit sent me right over the falls.

The irony of one of the weakest films having one of the best title tracks.

The Durannies were dismissed at the time but this was a boy band who wrote their own songs, played their own instruments and came up with some absolute bangers. Leagues ahead of the New Kids On the Block type boy bands of dancing mannequins who came after them.

I forget which band considered the collaboration with John Barry a dream and which a nightmare: Ah Ha and Duran Duran.

Ah, back in the days when you had famous bands AND worked with the composer so the song melody was actually in the film!
