At least this time it remembered to at least pretend to have an allegory.
I think it would be a wonderful kind of full circle moment for the season to end with Carole Ann Ford regenerating into a new Susan and then the Doctor and Susan go off on new adventures together just like it all began.

Another blah one for me. I was hoping for something that actually played cleverly on the song contest somehow, even -especially- if it was camp, but instead that was over in a few minutes and we got a by the numbers bad guy with a ticking clock plot with a tech the tech solution worthy of Voyager.
I have no idea who that was at the end. Reveal fell completely flat. I've googled, there's no need to explain it.

The ticking clock and tech the tech was ripped directly from Ecclestone’s finale, so it was RTD2 era doing a George Lucas. It rhymes.
I saw what was done to the Hellions by the Corporation as being very similar to what was done to the Ghor by the Empire in Andor. If depictions of such things make people uncomfortable, then good. That was the whole point.
There were a triad of Gods mentioned earlier. Wish the mavity joke was gone. Never made sense to stat with.
I never read it as a joke but rather an indication that something was wrong with reality so badly that even The Doctor didn't noticed. I've always assumed it had long-term implications that may finally come to head in "The Reality War."
I did find the fact that The Doctor using The Vindicator to find earth is possibly leads to it's destruction a surprise. It looks like The Doctor's attempts to get back to Earth might be what leads to it's destruction or at least helps the Ranis do it, if that's what they're up to.

The triad/trinity is going to be the Rani, cardboard cutout bad man Conrad (who is basically the same shit as Buffys own triad) and one other. The leaks will be right I suspect.
