How do you figure? That was Eaves, and the most reasonable interpretation of the disappearance of the venue where he made his mistaken claims is that the claims were mistaken, and nobody wanted them left up to cause confusion.
But certainly, that would only necessitate the deletion of the post where the statement was made? To go ahead and delete the entire account is really taking thing to an unnecessary extreme. Like using an assault rifle to kill an ant extreme.

Eaves may have deleted his account himself just a precaution.

We won't know unless we get a statement from him. Anything else is pure speculation.

I am considering the show its own thing, until they manage or fail to coincide the changes to canon. Either they are updating ALL canon, so that includes TNG, DS9, VOY - possibly with a "temporal cold war" excuse if need be - or successfully explain the changes in relation to the established looks from the Movie Era, and TNG onward looks.

They'll most likely never explain the updated look of the TOS era, there is no reason to.

I don't know, whenever one of the actors/actresses or someone from production speaks for the show they insist that all will make sense regards canon. They have a plan, you know :mallory:
