"The Inner Light" Line-by-Line

Hello, Welcome!

We recently completed our "Arena" Line-by-Line over in the TOS forum!

After each completed thread, we're randomly picking someone who participated to choose the next episode we do. The lucky winner this time around was HarryM! And HarryM has chosen "The Inner Light" as our next Line-by-Line challenge!

For any unfamiliar with our "game," you are asked to post only a single line (defined as one character speaking without interruption by another character) per message. You can post as often as you like, but someone else must post a line in between your posts.

Our "rule" is that if the episode has a "To Be Continued..." on the end, it is done in a single thread, but if it's just an arc of related episodes, each episode is a separate thread.

As before, at the conclusion of this thread, I or CoveTom, BlueStuff, Enterprise1981, leandar (Also know as the rest of the Scooby Gang) will run the randomizer to determine who will pick the next episode and get it going.

Okay, and now a Public Service Warning about strange objects you find in deep space...

Captain's Log, Stardate 45944.1: Following a magnetic wave survey of the Parvenium Sector, we've detected an object which we cannot immediately identify.

On the Bridge, the object is on the viewscreen.

Picard: Magnify. Mister Data?

Data: It appears to be a probe of some kind, but there is no Starfleet record of this shape or design.

WORF: No sir, but it has assumed a relative position and it is holding course with us.

Data: The beam is scanning the shields perimeter. The probe is emitting an unusual particle stream.

PICARD: Increase power to-

(Picard twitches, staggers, and is caught by Riker who lowers him to the floor)

[Living room]

Suddenly Riker's face is replaced by a woman's.

ELINE: Well. finally. How are you feeling? Kamin, can you answer me?
